HERES MY FULL BUSINESS REVIEW OF THIS FRAUDULENT GTA TORONTO AREA BUSINESS.
MY REVIEW(S) WILL ALSO BE AVAILABLE SHORTLY ON THE TORONTO BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU WEBSITE AND EVERY OTHER LOCAL BUSINESS REVIEW WEBSITE I CAN LOCATE TO MAKE POTENTIAL VICTIMS AWARE.
Please see my other review of LaptopsForLess on YouTube and social media networks Twitter, Flickr, Facebook & Instagram etc and PLEASE SHARE THIS IF YOU LIVE ANYWHERE IN THE TORONTO OR GTA AREA IN ONTARIO. I will be posting my reviews so everyone knows of these scammers over the next month. This particular used computer shop runs scam shops in Etobicoke Ontario and a so-called wholesale business in Mississauga Ontario. They also have businesses setup on eBay, Kijiji and everywhere they can run their scams.. so BE CAREFUL if you see this name if you are planning to purchase ANYTHING from them. They will take you too.
My FULL review of my experience with dealing with these guys (LaptopsforLess INC) is below, you decide if you want to deal with these guys and if you do anyways, just be careful and aware and CHECK YOUR PRODUCT PURCHASES THOROUGHLY as they remove parts and will do everything they can to fraud you… then you will find out later and be writing a review just like me. Hopefully I can save one person from being scammed, then its all worth it.
First.. here is the business I am writing my customer review on:
Some other names this business goes by and you should be alert if dealing with:
Laptops for Less Inc
Laptops for Less Canada
Laptops for Less
They run alot of local and online businesses (they are ALL the same) and use a variety of different names depending where they are preying for their victims – I have found them on Kijiji, eBay (ebay username: laptopsforlesscanada), Craigslist, local papers and advertisements and more… these are ALL THE SAME business and people, be aware.
They operate one of their fraudulent used laptop, computer and server parts shops in ETOBICOKE, Ontario and it is located at 3356 Lake Shore Blvd W, Etobicoke, ON M8W 1M9:
They also have a Laptops for Less WHOLESALE LOCATION located in Mississauga, Ontario Canada, this is where this business location is currently searching for victims from:
They are active on eBay with username laptopsforlesscanada which is where i unfortunately found them. If they try to get you to do a deal off ebay, or try to scam you also, then we suggest reporting it to eBay so they can terminate their account, people are power. Lets get rid of these guys or at least make it very hard for them to pursue their scams and frauds. SHARE THIS to anyone who buys used computer hardware or used electronics in the gta or ebay.
I WILL BE UPDATING AND POSTING THEIR LATEST IDENTITIES HERE (AND SOCIAL MEDIA) AND OTHER NEGATIVE REVIEWS I HAVE FOUND ON THESE GUYS, they use alot if names so its hard as they obviously have to change and use different names depending which market they are targeting and what names they tarnish.
MY REVIEW OF DEALING WITH LAPTOPSFORLESS INC CANADA:
I was searching computer parts on eBay and Kijiji, and i kept noticing this local toronto business that seemed to have alot of computer stuff, used computer parts and enterprise old computer hardware. I noticed right away from this business, that they change their names around alot but yet its easy to spot these are the same frauds.. but at the time I didnt know they were frauds rememeber, i was just like you. It was obvious they were these multiple business names were the same people and they seem to have alot of computer hardware and cellphones, used laptop parts and other apple and samsung used items. At the time, I was searching to purchase some HP blades for an older obsolete bunch of chassis units I have around. When I seen this guy had a bunch of old obsolete used HP server blades, I thought to shoot him an email as it struck my interest.
Before I sent him an email tho, I was still looking around. I noticed his ad was up ALL OVER the place for these HP blades.. some ads were different, some were different usernames and locations where they posted it such as eBay, Kijiji and a few other places including their website which where I was sucked into. It seems appealing and the whole “Wholesale thing” makes you want to contact them to see what they have.. so like anyone, I did.
On their “Wholesale website” they have alot of items they post depending on what they supposedly have available. They lure you into their website, even if their ad is on Kijiji or eBay as they want you to submit an offer. Thats part of the scam. I fell for it… I seen the SAME ad as what was posted on eBay.. but I didnt email that one yet. I wanted to see if they sold on eBay or people were watching the item – they werent oddly. I thought it was super weird that they seem to be a decent deal but not one person was interested, I guess i didnt know how bad these sellers actually are, so i wasnt aware and went ahead and emailed my offer.
So.. I find the same listing on their “Wholesale website” for the HP blade servers. They state to “Take it and go!” which seemed a little fishy, they obviously didnt want you to open the hardware up or checking them out, it was an AS-IS sorta of deal.. so the price.. well.. the scammy item is still listed on eBay and their website, it was $349 or something along those lines. I thought well, I am going to see if this is a scam… I am going to submit an offer to these guys for “HALF” of what they have it listed for, if they are for real they will probly laugh at my offer if they think their item was worth $349, but it was obviously way overpriced to start with as they surely knew.
I emailed and submitted an offer,, and to my surprise, or was it.. but the “best offer” was accepted right away, almost like they have an auto email system to do this. So I submitted an offer of $180 cash. The business Laptopsforless Canada INC gladly accepted my offer, so I figured something was wrong, but maybe these guys are just a bunch of nice guys with alot of computer hardware and out to gather new valued customers.. i decided to go for it and reply back as through email these guys can sure lure someone in.
I asked the guy, who claimed to be the “server guy” about these servers, they evade the question right away. So i thought ok, maybe they missed my questions.. so i asked again.. do these servers have CPUS installed or Memory? A very simple question that any server guy could tell you.. but he replies.. well I have to dig them out, etc etc etc.. So I wait. Then he comfirms with me that YES, they all have CPUS and most have Memory installed but he hasnt had time basically to go through them, so that drew a red flag for me anyways. So I asked again, and he confirms the deal and tells me that theres cpus etc and most have memory and everything in them, they are ONLY missing the hard disks… so i figured i would buy them and go have a look as they seemed like nice guys through emails.
Well, i thought that was a decent deal. These servers are obsolete now basically, which we both know. I then still didnt go for the deal as it seemed odd and they seemed very evasive to any questions i had regarding the HP blades and pretended they dont know anything about them or those servers — when in fact I find out they know ALOT ABOUT THEM BELIEVE ME. I was lead to believe they basically know nothing about them.
So……… again, a while later, I goto their website and click their wholesale section, and I notice they STILL have these HP blade servers as a lot of 6. So, I find their contact us info, and I decide to phone them.
An older guy answers the phone, I assume it was the father or owner.. who runs this operation. He told me that they need 24 hours notice to do anything as they are stacked away and really busy etc and that I need to call back in 2-3 hours and talk to the “Server Guy” which I did. I called back 3 hours later and i talked to this server guy who claimed he knew basically NOTHING about these HP Blades or servers in general… the older guy actually told me on the phone that he doesnt know ANYTHING about them either and that only the server guy could help me….. so everything just seemed so weird and deceptive but I went for it… i know.
I called back Laptops for Less again and they made arrangements with me to come the following day, which was a Friday, to go pick them up. I was excited and on my way.
Ok.. so Friday comes, he tells me that I have to call in advance if I am coming as he is a very busy guy and wants to make sure hes there (ya right..). But anyways, I called and talked to him, I confirmed I was coming from 2 hours away and he said he would wait there for me. So I headed out to Mississauaga to check these items out. Traffic was bad, took about 2 hours. Luckily we had to go to Toronto anyways, so i didnt waste my entire day 🙂
I got there, and went inside. Nobody came out but you could tell there was SEVERAL people there hidden beyond the hardware. I heard some whispering then all of a sudden theres like 3-4 staff running around like they are busy.. its was COMPLETLEY dead quiet when i walked in until they heard me — then, I could see the servers that i was supposed to buy on the counter ready for me to buy.. then the “Server Guy” who i talked to, who appartently didnt know anything about HP Blades all of a sudden is an ‘expert’ and knows every version, and model that come out and including almost every seller in Toronto who stocks or sells these!. I was immediately shocked.
Then…. the OLDER guy who appeared to be the owner if i was to guess of this fraud place, walks to the counter I recognized his voice from the phone, he was the guy who also knew NOTHING about servers and had to transfer me to the server guy…that i had to call back in 3 hours! This guy too all of a sudden also knew everything about these servers, including their supposedly current value and who sells them. TOTALLY DIFFERENT ATTITUDES and knowledge when I got there, they were both all of a sudden HP experts and knew quite a bit about these units.
I was extremely cautious at this time to give them my money. Then he says… oh, i have 2 more of the servers here too, it appeared they were trying to sweeten the deal as they knew i was on to their scam and wasnt going to buy really. So, I asked if i could OPEN THEM UP and have a look, he didnt answer and tried to look busy so I just started opening then covers of ALL of the servers… what did I notice??
Well… anything and everything that was valuable basically or sellable was REMOVED. They took all the components out of the servers hoping I wouldnt notice or was perhaps unaware they were supposed to be there. I have run these servers for YEARS and i know their value and what should be in them stock.
Remember, I was told there was CPUS and RAM in these servers. By the time I got there, they were cleaned out and empty of usable and required components that would be hard to source THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN IN THERE, thats why they take them out to sell them separately on eBay. Obviously the parts were removed before i got there to sell separately as they had the value, and then they tried dumping the junk to someone like me locally..
ALSO — remember the deal we arranged and organized was $180 cash for 6 servers with some RAM and all had CPUS and no hard disks. I got there and the models were different, they were all empty basically and they tried to cover that scam by throwing 2 more units in the deal somehow and then wanting more money ontop? Are you serious? I travelled 2 hours to deal with this? I kinda knew ahead of time i suppose, so its partially my fault as i was suspicious of how they threw me from guy to guy and nobody knew anything..
Ok, now this is good – the older guy walks up and tells me now that there is 8 servers there now, not 6, and that anyone in the GTA will give him $60 dollars EACH SERVER (!!!!) anyday of the week, and that he sells them all the time for that price. He then told me that he would only sell me the older (junk) ones and hes taking out the newer model ones out of the deal as he can get more on ebay! My god,,., so he wanted to take out 4 of the later model HP blades out of the deal now.. THEN, he tells me he will sell them *all* to me for $60 each, so thats 8x$60, which is $480!!!!! Are you serious?? Thats a big jump from $180 that we made a deal on and you had me drive 2 hours for. So i went to leave and told them i didnt want to waste theirs or my time anymore..
Then guess what he does..?
Your right.. he tells me to throw him an offer, a cash offer. I told him since they are BARE and nothing there, I would offer $150 cash for all of them.. he thought about it a second, then talked to his partner in fraud, then said sorry I need $50 each bottom line take it or leave it.. so i left peacefully learning another lesson for the day of knowledge.
Summary of events:
Both staff at this business knew exactly what they were doing right from the start. I am surely not the first victim and certainly wont be their last. They were fishing me in as they knew i was interested but they figured i didnt know enough about servers, that they could trick me and take advantage of me. PLUS the whole raising the price thing and stuff was outragous. It was so weird how when i got there, the place was COVERED in servers and computers, and probably alot of stolen merchandise (at least from my recent research and reviews on this deceptive business, seems this is common for them), and when i arrive suddenly they had in depth knowledge on EVERYTHING about these servers, including model numbers, series, versions, whats inside, etc, etc and their values. They oddly didn’t know any of this on the phone, and lured me in. I get there the first thing they do is pop up ebay on the computer terminal so they can price the hp blade servers higher because of their ebay value or what other sellers are asking for them.. and thats why i should pay more i guess….. So be aware everyone or YOU WILL GET TAKEN from these guys as they are pretty good at it and work obviously work as a team on their victims.
Bottom line is that some might have already fallen for this fraud, after all, i did.. the staff there knows everything about all the servers as they repair them supposedly and also been working on servers since 2003 so they claim, and if this is true then WHY ARE YOU LYING TO YOUR CUSTOMERS and playing games with them like this??
I have researched them in more depth and realize i am NOT the only person they have scammed and taken advantage of so this is nothing new. People should stand up and let everyone know when they do that to them and post it all over social media, YOUTUBE and everything — especially in the GTA and TORONTO area. If people can spread the word, share this information write your OWN review good or bad, and let others know who is scamming and ripping people off then we can get these guys OUT OF BUSINESS or at least cause a huge dent in their scams and ripoffs, or get them to change their deceptive practices that seem to work for years.
I will be placing my public review on social media, YouTube, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn and any other GTA or toronto reviews websites on local businesses so people can be aware of what you will be dealing with and what practices that you can expect to see.
PLEASE, IF YOU HAVE A REVIEW POSITIVE OR NEGATIVE ABOUT THIS PLACE OF BUSINESS OR THEIR LATEST ALIASES THEY ARE USING TO LURE PEOPLE IN, PLEASE FORWARD IT TO ME AS I WOULD LIKE TO POST IT ON SOCIAL MEDIA AND A FEW OTHER MAJOR REVIEW WEBSITES SO OVER TIME PEOPLE WILL FIGURE THESE GUYS OUT HOPEFULLY.
IF YOU DO BUY from these frauds just beware, and double check everything as they open stuff up and REMOVE PARTS before you get there, they take stuff out, they remove parts of sellable value, etc.. so check the valuable stuff and parts and make sure you get what you agree on and pay for. Dont let them (or anyone) bully you into paying MORE or dont let them change the deal figuring you will buy anyways since you travelled so far — dont waste your gas, save your money and find a reputable and honest used computer sales business that sells the exact same stuff but DOESNT remove parts and WILL honor their deals and wont make you waste over $100 on gas and bullshit. These guys are failures.
There are ALOT of local businesses in Mississauga, Etobicoke, North York, GTA areas that have *WAY* better deals, they are way more honest and will help you instead of rip you off and take advantage of you. EMAIL ME if you want a list of tons of used computer shops that have more and better stuff than these guys, and will negotiate deals instead of luring you in by using some sort of SUBMIT YOUR BEST OFFER scam to lure you in…
Bottom line? If something seems to be too good to be true. Usually it is.
I learned my lesson, hopefully I can save at least one person from being scammed by these guys.
What is the definition of Fraud?
